The origins of Ristorante Albergo Da Otello
We are a family of restaurateurs dedicated to hospitality and customer care
In 1958, grandparents Otello and Lucia opened a small and welcoming tavern in Marta, overlooking Lake Bolsena, where farmers and fishermen would go to find refreshment and ease the day's fatigue by enjoying a glass of cannaiola wine and the famous "cartoccio," filled with delicious and golden fried foods that Lucia prepared, along with Otello's fish soup.
Over the years, with hard work and passion, the tavern transformed into what is now Ristorante Da Otello, where lake fish takes center stage. In the kitchen, along with some traditional dishes, delightful creations are prepared, the result of reinterpreting the classics of fish-based cuisine, such as the "zuppa di mare all'Otello," served in still-smoking clay pots, made with always fresh fish, or the crispy fried foods, one of the most appreciated offerings by our customers.
Hospitality is our calling, which is why, in 2000, the inn was born. Seven unique rooms, lovingly crafted with attention to detail, became our pride and joy.
After more than 60 years, we, the sisters Loretta, Roberta, Serena, and Paola, alongside our tireless parents, Giuseppe and Rosanna, continue to carry on with the same passion as our grandparents Otello and Lucia the Ristorante Locanda Da Otello.
